Rickman Archives -

Rickman has been enamored with the comic book and illustration field since his Dad taught him to read at age 3 with The Amazing Spider-Man. Honing his craft at The Center for the Media Arts, Caldwell College, and The Joe Kubert School of Cartoon and Graphic Art, he went on to create some wildly imaginative comics such as “Fishman,” “Sock,” “The Incredibly Unbalanced Adventures of Bob,” and “The Band” weekly comic strip that was published in Kearny’s Observer newspaper from 2005-2008.

He’s taught some of the industry’s upcoming giants from 2001 to 2005 as an instructor at the Joe Kubert School in Dover, New Jersey.

His book “Zach Meets the Zombie,” published October 2012 by 1313 Publications, is a delightfully monstrous tale of a little boy who would like to go outside to play, but he can’t because there is a Zombie outside! Aimed at young tweens and the young-at-heart, “Zach Meets the Zombie” has gotten some high praise in the past year. Fans have since been waiting anxiously for the second book in the Meet the Monsters series, “Vinnie Meets the Vampire,” currently in production.

Rickman knows that until he can find a way to control the raging spirit that dwells within him, he will have to continue striving to put right what once went wrong, and hoping each time that his next leap will be the leap… home.
